Pengaruh Media Sosial Instagram Sebagai Alat Promosi Terhadap Penjualan Seafood Di Restoran Kang Bewok Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau

This research was conducted in March 2020 at the Kang Bewok Restaurant,
Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The method used is a survey method by making direct
observations into the field, collecting data through interviews with a questionnaire.
Respondents in this study were visitors who were followers of the
Pekanbaru Seafood Restaurant as many as 100 people who were taken by purposive
sampling with predetermined characteristics.
The results showed that the respondents of Kang Bewok Pekanbaru had the
greatest age, namely 31 people aged 21-25 years, while 23 people under 20
years old, and 29 people aged 26-30 years, from 30 years there were 17 people.
Most of the respondents have graduated from high school education. Respondents'
income averaged between IDR 1,000,000 and IDR 3,000,000. There are
two types of informational content about seafood products at Kang Bewok Restaurant,
namely regular content and Instagram story content. Regular content is
content in the form of photos or videos that are uploaded regularly on Instagram.
Meanwhile, the Instagram story is the content contained in the story feature
which runs for 24 hours. Photo content consists of captions, images,
hashtags, likes, while videos consist of images, sounds, captions, and for Instagram
stories, they consist of captions, sounds. Where the contents of the three
contents of this content are about food products and visitors who come. Where
the duration of each video is approximately 1 minute and for the Instagram story
is 15 seconds. Sales turnover before using Instagram was IDR 63,00,000
with an average of IDR 21,000,000 for 3 months, and after using Instagram
was IDR 269,000,000 with an average of IDR 24,454,545 for 11 months. From
the results of multiple linear regression analysis, the factors that influence sales
variables are frequency such as product, promotion, price and place.
