The development of e-module using the guided inquiry-based kvisoft flipbook

found in schools, namely at SMAN 1 Seberida, SMAN 1 Rengat Barat, and SMAN
1 Batang Cenaku, Indragiri Hulu Regency, namely the critical thinking ability of
students is still low, The availability of innovative / electronic-based teaching
materials that encourage students to think critically is still minimal so that
students are less active during learning and tend to wait for explanations of
material from the teacher. Therefore, teachers have an important role in
improving students' critical thinking skills. There are many things that teachers
can do to improve students' critical thinking skills, including by developing ICTbased
teaching materials such as e-modules. The purpose of this study was to
obtain an innovative ICT-based teaching material in the material reaction rate
which was feasible and effective to improve students' critical thinking skills.
This study uses a research design and development of the Plomp model.
The population in this study were students of class XII MIPA at SMAN 1 Seberida,
SMAN 1 Rengat Barat, and SMAN 1 Batang Cenaku, Indragiri Hulu Regency and
class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Seberida. Samples were taken by purposive random
sampling. The sample in this study was 101 students. The data obtained were in
the form of qualitative data, namely suggestions from 6 expert lecturers and
quantitative data, namely the results of validation and the results of user response
trials as well as the results of large-scale trials. Data analysis techniques for
material expert validation sheets, media, and user response questionnaires using
a Likert scale. The improvement of students' critical thinking skills was analyzed
using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and independent sample t-test.
The results of the research obtained the percentage of the total validation
score of 3 material experts in the feasibility aspect of the content of 96.88%,
pedagogy 89.16%, language 91.65% and graphics 81.25% with very valid criteria
and 3 media experts on the size aspect of e-module 100%, cover design 91.68%
and content design 89.4% with very valid criteria. The results of testing user
responses to the practicality of e-module based on guided inquiry material
reaction rate obtained an average percentage of teacher responses of 84.17%
with very practical criteria and the average percentage of students' responses in

the one-one test is 86.90% and the group test small 88.45% with very practical
criteria. The results of the calculation of the independent sample t-test analysis
showed that the difference in the average posttest score of students' critical
thinking ability in the experimental class and control class was 15.883 with a
significance value
