Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Hasil Tangkapan Pancing Ulur Di Perairan Bangka

Hand line are the dominant fishing gear used at PPN Sungailiat. Fishing trip of
hand line fisher when research were 7-15 days with 2-5 crews. The construction
of handline in Sungailiat waters is the same as in general, consisting of a reel,
fishing line, reel, hook, bait and ballast. This research was conducted in
November 2019 at PPN Sungailiat, Bangka. The purpose of this study is to
determine the effect of the length of operational days at sea and to find out
whether there are other factors that affect the decrease in the number of handdrawn
fishing rods. The factors used in this study include the length of the fishing
trip, the experience of the captain, the weight of the ship, the number of crew
members, the amount of fuel, the fishing distance, the number of fishing rods, and
the engine power. Data collected by means of observation, interviews and
documentation. The data analysis method used in this research is polynomial
regression. Polynomial regression analysis is used to determine the relationship
between one variable (catch factor) and one dependent variable (catch). The
catch during the study was mackerel (Nerrow-barred spanish Mackerel), grouper
(Blue-lined seabass), kurisi (Ornate threadfin brean), ciw or selar kuning
(Yellowstripe scad), catfish (Giant catfish), cmb or selar bentong (Bigeye scad)
and the most dominant is squid (Loligo sp). From the polynomial regression
analysis, the coefficient of determination (R2) of each factor on the variation of
the catch is 87% engine power, 74% experience of the captain, 72% of fishing
trips, 72% of fuel, 70% of fishing distance, the weight of the ship is 66%, the
number of hooks is 66% and the number of crew members is 65%. From this data,
the fishing trip has a big effect on the catch. Meanwhile, the dominant factor
affecting the catch is engine power.
