Pengukuran Target Strength Ikan Bawal Hitam (Parastromateus Niger) Menggunakan Instrumen Akustik Single Beam

The Black Pomfret is a fish of sufficient economic value high and abundantly
consumed by society. The hydroacoustic is an effective and efficient instrument in
detecting water columns that can help increase the yield of fish. One of the result
of data from acoustic instruments is target strength. Target strength become the
primary parameters for determining inner fish abundance acoustic method
application. The study aims to know the value target strength of Black Pomfret
under weight based on the total length of the fish, the weight of the fish and the
orientation Angle of the transduser using an acoustic instrument echosounder
single beam SIMRAD EK-15. The method used in research using controlled
methods. The study was carried out in November 2019 in a fishing laboratory.
School of Marine science and fisheries, UMRAH, Tanjung Pinang. The
relationship between total length of fish and the value of target strength Black
Pomfret getting coefficient correlation value 0,052. The relationship between the
weight of a fish with the value of target strength Black Pomfret get as much
correlation coefficient as a 0.147. Target strength are measured by the number of
fish angles against transduser Shows that the position of fish is approaching
position 00 against the transducer will has the highest value of a target strength
and vice versa for repulsion Position 00 then the value of a target strength from
fish under black will be lower.
