Pengaruh Jenis Umpan Ikan Terhadap Hasil Tangkapan Rawai Di Perairan Sinaboi Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi Riau

This study aims to determine the effect of the type of bait on the catch in order to
increase the production of fishery products, especially longline fishing gear. The
research was carried out from April 22 to May 5, 2019, located in Sinaboi waters,
Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The ship used is a 6 GT motor boat with a
length of 15 m, a width of 2 m, a 30 PK Dongfeng engine with diesel fuel.
Catching fish is carried out in Sinaboi waters, the fishing gear used is the longline
using 3 types of fish bait, namely gelodok fish (Taeniodes anguillaris), parang fish
(Chirocentrus dorab), and lomek fish (Harpodon nehereus). The result of longline
catch in the amount of weight (kg) using fish bait as much as 373.6 kg of fish,
parang-parang fish bait 148.7 kg, lomek fish bait 116.7 kg. Meanwhile, the total
number of fish caught was 94, of which 51 fish bait was obtained, 21 fish for
parang-parang, and 22 for lomek fish bait. Of the three types of bait used by
longline fishermen in Sinaboi waters, the most caught catch was stingray with a
total of 46 heads, while for the least caught fish was weed with a total of 8 tails.
