Pemanfaatan Ekstrak Daun Jambu Biji (Psidium Guajava) Dan Daun Manggis (Garcinia Mangostana) Untuk Meningkatkan Kekuatan Putus Serat Rami (Boehmeria Nivea L) Menggunakan Metode Maserasi
This study tried to analyze guava leaf extract and mangosteen leaves to
increase the breaking power of hemp fibers. The study was conducted in January
2020 which lasted for 30 days. The research site is in the Fishing Equipment
Materials Laboratory. Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs. University of Riau.
The method used in this study is an experimental method and uses a maceration
technique that is by soaking fibers for 20 days in a filtered liquid. The highest
average of the test results of the break-up strength of guava leaf extract was 4.04
kgf/mm2. The highest average of mangosteen leaf extract is 2.19 kgf/mm2. The
value ofmuluran is obtained in conjunction with the fiber strength repellent. The
highest mulch value of guava leaf extract is obtained the highest average value of
48.02 cm/sec, while mangosteen leaf extract is 9.82 cm/sec. From the absorption
test results, for guava leaf extract the highest average value is 274.40%. The
highest average of mangosteen leaf extract is 235.50% at a 20-day soaking. The
results of the Anova test obtained that the Fhitung value is -0.296 and the value of
Ftabel 9.55 so that it can be concluded that the value of F0.05< F0.01 then H0 is
accepted and H1 is rejected, this is interpreted that H1 there is no difference in the
breaking power in hemp fiber soaked with guava leaf extract and mangosteen leaf
extract.
