Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Dengan Penerapan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas XI SMA
This research is based on the low ability of students ‘mathematical understanding, the difficulty of teachers in planning problem-based learning in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum and applying learning models that facilitate students’ mathematical understanding, not functioning LKPD as a learning resource, and not familiarizing participants. students in solving problem-based problems. Seeing this problem, researchers conducted research aimed at developing mathematics learning tools using problem-based learning to facilitate the mathematical understanding abilities of students in class XI SMA in the form of syllabus, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), and Mathematical Comprehension Ability Tests. (TKPM) which has valid and practical qualifications.
The development model used in this research is the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but in this research it is only carried out until the Develop stage. The procedures carried out to achieve the objectives of this study include: 1) the defining stage (Design), with activities to analyze basic problems in the development of learning tools, to analyze the abilities and experiences of students through observation and discussion with the mathematics teacher at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang to determine the method, the appropriate learning models and strategies to be applied to learning devices, identifying the main material in learning devices, detailing the main tasks in the derivative application material in outline based on the 2013 curriculum, formulating learning objectives according to the main tasks of derived applications, 2) Stage Design, with the activity of compiling data collection instruments, determining appropriate and relevant media for the main tasks, determining the syllabus format, RPP, LKPD, and mathematical comprehension ability test instruments, designing draft syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, and the Mathematical Comprehension Ability Tests. In addition, it also designed the validity assessment sheet and student response questionnaires. 3) Development stage, with activities to validate the design of learning tools (syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, TKPM), and research questionnaire instruments, to three expert validators to see the level of validity of the learning tools that have been designed, to make revisions based on validator suggestions, analyzed the validation result data, carried out the legibility test for a small group of 6 students to see the practicality level of the LKPD that had been declared valid from the validation test results, analyzed the readability test questionnaire data from students.
The research instrument used was the validation sheet and the student response questionnaire sheet. The research data consisted of qualitative and quantitative data. Data analysis in this study used the average percentage of all validators or all observation to find out the degree of validity and practicality of the learning tools developed.
xiii
Based on the results of the data analysis that the researchers conducted, it can be concluded that the research produced learning device products that were in accordance with the research objectives, with validity levels, namely: 1) The average percentage of all aspects of the syllabus of all validators was 88.77% with the category “very valid” . 2) the average percentage of all aspects of the RPP of all validators is 90.60% with the “very valid” category, 3) The average percentage of all aspects of the LKPD of all validators is 91.98% with the “very valid” category, 4) The average percentage of all aspects of TKPM from all validators is 94.89% with a very valid category. 5) The average percentage of all aspects of the students’ questionnaire responses from all observers was 87.46% with the category “very practical”.
Based on this explanation, it is known that the formulation of the problem in this study received a positive answer, namely the mathematics learning device using problem-based learning to facilitate the mathematical understanding ability of students of class XI SMA on derivative application material that has met very valid criteria and students’ responses to Student Worksheets meets very practical criteria. In other words, the validity assessment by experts states that the learning device can be used to facilitate the mathematical understanding ability of students of class XI SMA on derivative application material.
