Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis Penemuan Terbimbing Pada Materi Lingkaran Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Siswa Kelas VI SD/MI
The results of the document review that the researcher conducted on the
learning tools used by teachers in several SD / MI schools in Pekanbaru City,
obtained information that the learning devices used by teachers had not met the
rules contained in the 2013 Curriculum so that it still needed to be improved. This
study aims to produce guided discovery-based learning tools on circle material to
facilitate students in the ability of mathematical understanding in grade VI SD / MI
which consists of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet that meet valid and
practical criteria.
This type of research is research and development. The research data
collection instrument was a validation sheet and a student response questionnaire.
Validation sheets are used to obtain validator assessments of learning devices. The
learning device is said to be valid if the average percentage of the validator's
assessment is more than 70%. Student response questionnaire sheets were used to
obtain data related to the practicality of the developed LKPD. Learning equipment
is said to be practical if the percentage of practicality is more than 70%.
This study uses the ADDIE model with the following stages: (1) Analysis;
(2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation; and (5) Evaluation. The stage
analysis, the researcher analyzes the learning tools, analyzes the students and
analyzes the material. At this stage the researcher examines the learning tools, the
results of students' mathematical understanding abilities and the scope of the
material. In the stage design, the researcher designed the learning device by making
an initial format consisting of four meetings with the scope of the material, namely:
(1) the elements of a circle (center point, radius and diameter of the circle); (2)
elements of the circle (bow, string, circle and circle); (3) circumference of the
circle; and (4) the area of the circle.
In the stage development, the researcher develops learning tools according
to the initial format that has been prepared, then validated by three validators. The
results of the analysis of the validation of the syllabus, lesson plans, and student
worksheets show that the category is very valid, with sequential scores of 92.5%
95%; and 94.87% means that the learning tools developed can be tested and revised
according to the validator's suggestions.
In the stage implementation, the researcher tested the revised learning tools
according to the validator's suggestions to eight students who have heterogeneous
abilities to see the practicality of the developed LKPD. The results of the
practicality data analysis in the small group trial showed a very practical category
with a score of 93.64%. In the stage evaluation, the researcher revised the learning
tools according to the input and suggestions of the validators and students.
The activities contained in each LKPD can facilitate students' mathematical
understanding abilities by using a guided discovery model. At the stage of
formulating problems, students are presented with contextual problems related to
the material being studied. Students observe and pay attention to the problems
given. In the stage of formulating a hypothesis, students are directed to write down
temporary answers to the problems that have been presented in the previous stage.
xv
In the stage of collecting data, students are directed to collect data that has been
presented in the problem and construct the knowledge they have previously had in
obtaining concepts. The stage of testing the students' hypothesis is directed to
process data in order to obtain conclusions. The stage of drawing conclusions
students is directed to conclude the material being studied. So the results show that
guided discovery-based learning tools on circular material to facilitate students in
the mathematical understanding ability of students of class VI SD / MI are valid
and practical.
