Pemanfaatan Limbah Casing Printer Sebagai Material Pengganti Sebagian Pasir Pada Pembuatan Batako
E-waste as printer casing is plastic that resistant to chemicals, stable to heat, strength
and gristly. One of the efforts to reduce e-waste is to utilize it as a brick for building
materials. The purpose of this research is to use the casing of printer waste as substitute
for some sand on the Production of bricks, to determine the influence of variation in the
refined printer chasing on dry weight, compressive strength and absorption power of
bricks against water, and comparing the quality of the bricks made with the bricks
according to SNI 03-0349-1989. Cement was mixed with water, sand and addition of ewaste
based on its variation. After that it was molded, then the brick was dried for 28
day. Variations in the amount of printer casing 0,06 kg, 0,12 kg, 0,18 kg, 0,24 kg, 0,30 kg,
0,36 kg and without the use of electronic waste. Result, its found that mutu I brick
production was in variation of the amount of e-waste 0.36 kg with dry weight of 7,75kg,
absorption power of 0,51%, and compressive strength of 135,62 kg/cm2 that fulfilling SNI
standards 03-0349-1989.
