Pengaruh Jumlah Texapon Terhadap Karakteristik Hand Wash Yang Dicampur Dengan Gel Aloe Vera Sebagai Pelembut
Hand washing soap was a special liquid soap for washing hands to make it clean,
fragrant, soft, and safe for the skin. During the Covid-19 pandemic, hand soap
was needed to maintain cleanliness. This study aims to make hand soap with a
variation in the addition of the amount of texapon and to compare it with the SNI
2588-2017 parameters. The variation in the number of texapon used was 5; 15;
25; 35; and 45 grams. The texapon which has been determined was then mixed
with 250 ml of distilled water and stirred until it was homogeneous using a
mechanical stirrer with a stirring speed of 625.5 rpm. Furthermore, 12.5 grams of
Na2SO4 were added, then stirred until homogeneous and 25 grams of NaCl were
added. Then 10 sequentially added aloe vera gel; alcohol 4,315; perfume 1,105;
and dye 0.033 grams. The ingredients that have been mixed are stirred for 25
minutes until homogeneous and let stand for 1 night. Characteristic tests carried
out include: density, viscosity, foam stability, pH, materials that are insoluble in
ethanol, and free fatty acids. From this analysis, obtained 1.0164 - 1.0306 gram /
mL soap density test; 70.1205 - 263.6416 cP viscosity test; 73 - 96% foam
stability test; 7,3 - 8 soap pH test; 0.24 - 0.84% of the material that was insoluble
with ethanol and the free fatty acid test value was 0.62 - 0.95%. Based on the
characteristic test, in general the hand washing soap produced has met SNI.
