Pengembangan E-Modul Pada Materi Senyawa Hidrokarbon Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Dan Sikap Mandiri Peserta Didik Melalui Google Classroom Di Smkn 1 Seberida
In 21st century learning, technology is not something additional, even
mandatory. This is one of the keys in contemporary classroom learning. Learning
is carried out based on ICT (Information Communication Technology).
By using ICT in learning students are required to have an active role in
learning so that educators only act as facilitators, companions of students, where
educators provide opportunities for students to apply their skills and build their
own knowledge. Learners work on activities and projects that are linked with
long-term goals to build deep conceptual understanding. Furthermore, students
use various kinds of technology to do assignments, work on projects and research,
communicate and create knowledge.
One of the applications of ICT in learning is the use of e-modules. E-module
is a form of e-learning, which is used using computer equipment (ICT). In today's
digital era, it demands the availability of learning resources in the simplest way to
use and access them so that users (students) can easily learn and understand their
subject matter. E-modules can answer the availability of learning resources that
can be accessed easily and can be used anywhere by students. In using this emodule,
we use the Google Classroom application, where Google Classroom is
an application for learning issued by Google.
The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) or socalled
research and development with the ADDIE model which consists of five
steps, namely: (1) analysis (Analyze), (2) design, (3) development (Development),
(4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation.
The e-module that was developed by researchers was made using the
Microsoft Pulisher application. Microsoft Publisher is a Microsoft Office
application program that is used for desktop publishing. Results from desktop
publishing include newspapers, catalogs, brochures, magazines, books, modules,
greeting cards, posters, wall magazine, calendars and others. In the Microsoft
publisher application, various templates are available. So if we want to make a
work, just choose the template that has been provided, then edit it as needed.
The validity of the e-module developed to improve students' understanding of
concepts and learning independence on hydrocarbon compound material through
Google Classroom based on material validation obtained 90.27% results for
content feasibility aspects, 95.00% for presentation feasibility aspects, 89.81% for
aspects of the feasibility of language with an average percentage of 91.69% with
the product criteria very feasible or very valid to use. Media validation results
obtained 93.83% for the feasibility aspect of the graphic and 94.44% for the
aspect of language feasibility with an average percentage of 94.13% with the
category very feasible or very valid to use.
The response of educators and students to the e-module developed on
hydrocarbon compound material received an assessment of the response of
xvii
educators with an average of 85.18% with very good criteria and student
responses with an average of 72.72% with attractive criteria.
The implementation of the hydrocarbon compound e-module used through the
Google Classroom application aims to improve students' understanding of
concepts and independent attitudes. Based on the results of the pretest-posttest,
students' understanding of the concept after using the e-module increased with the
pretest-postest mean scores of 26.24% and 80.78%, respectively. Based on the
results of the conceptual understanding data analysis, it was found that the Mean
value was 0.7488, which meant that the increase in students' concept
understanding after using e-module was 0.7488 with the Normalized Gain criteria
according to Hake, namely the high category.
Whereas from the results of the questionnaire on students 'independent
attitudes to improve students' independent attitudes, based on the results before
and after using e-module that the independent attitude of students increased from
an average value of 63.08% to an average value of 87.50% . Based on the results
of the data analysis of learning independence, the mean value was 0.5496,
meaning that the increase in the learning independence of students after using emodule
was 0.5496 with the Normalized Gain criteria according to Hake, namely
the moderate category.
