Perbaikan Sifat Geoteknik Tanah Lunak Lempung (Ch) Terhadap Penambahan Semen Dan Limbah Bottom Ash
ABSTRACT
The work built on the land of high plasticity clay (CH) that has a relatively low carrying capacity will have a short service life, to overcome the problem is carried out efforts to improve soil geotechnical properties by stabilizing using bottom ash (coal waste) and cement. The addition of the mixture aims to determine its influence in the efforts to repair the phisycs and mechanical properties of the soil high plasticity (CH). The samples on this study were designed with a mixed variation of bottom ash 5%, 10%, 15% and the cement mixture variation was 3% and 5% of the dry weight of the soil. The main testing conducted as a reference to see the influence of the use of the bottom ash and cement mixture is the testing of UCS, CBR, permeability testing, atterberg limit checking and microscopic checking. Prior to testing, test items experienced the process of curing and without curing. The variation on the UCS test is without curing, 7 days and 28 days, CBR testing curing variation is without curing and 7 days, permeability testing, the Atterberg Limit check, and Micrsokopic at 28 days curing. The results of soil testing of the high plasticity (CH) in the study was the value of Cu 10.55 kPa, CBR value of 0.78%, PI of 37.20%, and a value of K of cm/s. Best mixed soil testing value is found in the mixture of L-S5-BA15-C28 with a value of Cu 30.71 kPa, CBR value of 38.64%, PI of 18.25%, and a value of K cm/s. Mixed variation that meets the minimum requirements for subgrades of roads amounting to 6% of the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (2017) is a sample of L-S5-BA10 and L-S5-BA15 with a value of CBR each 38.64% and 13.88%. The conclusion of the study proved the addition of a mixture of bottom ash and cement able to improve soil phisycs and mechanical properties.
