Pengaruh Simulasi Awal Waktu Pengamatan Terhadap Hasil Prediksi Pasang Surut Di Perairan Kotabaru Menggunakan Metode Admiralty
ABSTRACT
This research examines the variation of initial time in time observation based on
the Hijriah calendar, which produces the most accurate tidal predictions. The
study analysis uses the Admiralty method with hourly observation data for 15
days and 29 days. The data uses tidal data in Kotabaru waters and simulated with
three simulations, namely, the simulation of the data itself, the simulation of the
data after years, and the simulation of data from the following year. The three
simulations were carried out on two hundred and forty-three variations of the
observation time for the data length of 15 days, two hundred and twenty nine
variations of the observation time for the data length of 29 days. The results of
data analysis show that the prediction results of the 29-day data length admiralty
method are more accurate, namely with the smallest average RMSE value of
16.68 cm which is the prediction result of the start date of the 27 Hijri calendar.
So the most appropriate time to make tidal observations in the field for tide
predictions in Kotabaru waters is on the 27th of every Hijri month or during the
eighth phase of the moon (crescent). The formzhal value number that was 0.66, so
the tide type at the research location is included in the semi-diurnal tide type
classification. The greatest tidal correlation is found at the data length of 29 days
with an average value of 0.94.
