This study aims to 1) analyze the level of environmental comfort in the city of Pekanbaru. 2) Participating the community in maintaining the comfort of the environment in Pekanbaru City, 2. The research was carried out with a quantitative approach through survey methods as well as direct observation in the field accompanied by community sampling and analyzed by the person correlation test equation. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: 1) Based on the respondent's response to the participation variable and the level of environmental comfort, it can be seen that the participation and comfort level of the community is not good, but especially for environmental comfort is still not good. Based on the correlation value between the characteristics of the respondent with the level of community participation and the comfort of the environment, it can be seen that there is a relationship between the characteristics of the respondent with the level of participation and the comfort of the environment. 2) The value of the person correlation coefficient between the level of community participation and the comfort of the environment is 0.544, which means that the two variables are unidirectional, namely the higher the value of community participation, the higher the community's environmental comfort in Pekanbaru City will be.
