The objectives to be achieved in this study are to apply the values of
character education in scouting extracurricular activities through discipline,
honesty, kinship and responsibility in 004 Pulau Terap Public Elementary School,
Kuok District, Kampar Regency and to find out the obstacles and character
education programs in coaching. scout activities. This research was conducted at
004 Pulau Terap Public Elementary School, Kuok District, Kampar Regency with
descriptive analysis.
The results of the research on the values of character education in scout
extracurricular activities where religious values are very important values to be
instilled in everyday life according to the practice of the Al-Qur'an and Hadith.
The value of honesty is a value that must be owned because students are required
to behave honestly in every activity. Tolerance value is a value where a person
can respect and respect others, respect culture and religion. Discipline values are
values that must always be applied, especially to students in learning.
Environmental Care values such as not littering, maintaining cleanliness and not
destroying nature. The value of social care is a caring attitude, especially for
others who need help. The value of a sense of responsibility where a student must
have a sense of responsibility in his daily life, especially in learning. Obstacles in
planting character values through scouting extracurricular activities at the State
Elementary School 004 Terap Island, Kuok District, Kampar Regency, among
others, are less than optimal activities because there are still many students who
do not like scouting activities and the character of different students. While the
character education program in fostering scouting activities at the 004 Terap
Island Public Elementary School, Kuok District, Kampar Regency, such as
building enthusiasm and patriotism, knowledge and techniques about scouts,
discipline and dexterity, creativity and general activities.
