Tanggung Jawab Perusahaan Pt. Perkebunan Nusantara V Sei Buatan Terhadap Penerapan Corporate Social Responsibility (Csr) Dalam Pencegahan Kebakaran Hutan Di Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
Indonesia interprets CSR as a legal obligation, specifically regulated in
laws and regulations that require every company to implement CSR. As a legal
obligation, companies must comply with the existing rules of the law without
exception. CSR is a company obligation that must be implemented in accordance
with Article 74 of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability
Companies. Based on data from the Riau Regional Disaster Management Agency
(BPBD), it is known that at the beginning of 2020 there were three areas that were
already on emergency alert status due to forest and land fires. The largest area
experiencing forest and land fires is Siak District, with a burnt area of more than
100 ha. These forest and land fires have an impact on the destruction of
ecosystems and disruption of the activities and health of the surrounding
communities where the forest and land fires occur. Prevention and control of land
and forest fires is the responsibility of all elements of society, including
companies in the plantation and agriculture sectors. One way is by implementing
CSR in the prevention of forest fires by companies.
This type of research used by the author is sociological legal research,
which is a study of the effectiveness of the current law. Sociological research is
research that looks at the correlation between law and society and is descriptive in
nature, which provides data about humans, conditions or other symptoms, in order
to help strengthen old theories or in the framework of compiling new theories.
The purpose of this study was to determine whether the implementation of
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Sei
Buatan in forest fire prevention can minimize the rate of forest and land fires in
Siak Regency, Riau Province, and whether the implementation of Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) by PT. Nusantara V Sei Buatan Plantation is in
accordance with the law.
