Pengembangan Promosi Wisata Pacu Jalur Kabupaten Kuantansingingi Dalam Peningkatan Kunjungan Wisata Tahun 2017-2019

Kuantan Singingi Regency is one of the regencies that has excellent
tourism, namely the pathway cultural tourism which is quite famous to the
international level. Pacu Jalur cultural tourism is a canoe race that is competed in
the Kuantan River every year in order to commemorate the Birthday of the
Republic of Indonesia.
This study aims to determine how the tourism department's efforts in
developing track-based tourism promotion in increasing tourist visits. Then to find
out the inhibiting factors in efforts to develop track-based tourism promotion in
increasing tourist visits in 2017-2019. The location of this research was conducted
in Kuantan Singingi Regency, at the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports,
and Culture of Kuantan Singingi Regency. Furthermore, data collection
techniques are carried out by interviews, documentation and literature study.
The results of this study are the efforts to develop the promotion of trackbased
tourism by the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports and Culture in
increasing tourist visits in Kuantan Singingi Regency which are not yet optimal.
This is caused by several factors such as lack of infrastructure and budget
constraints.
