ABSTRACT
This research was done on July until August 2019 at Belakang Padang
Subdistrict, Batam City, Riau Island Province. The purpose of this research is to
know the composition of catches on coastal liftnet (main catch, bycatch, discard).
The method used in this research is survey, which was carried out by direct
observation in the field. All data obtained were processed with a descriptive and
statistical analysis. The results showed all data about the species that caught by
coastal liftnet and how is the composition of catches, also the percentage of
catches (main catch, bycatch, and discard)
