Pengaruh Waktu Adsorpsi Ion Fe2+ Terhadap Efektivitas Adsorben Ampas Kopi
ABSTRACT
Polluting metals found in peatwater are usually free elements attached to soil and rocks
that are then carried away by water or waste from an industry. For example, metal such as
Fe,fe content that is too much in the water will have a bad impact on human health. One
possible technique for setting aside the content of heavy metals is adsorption. Adsorption
is an adorption of an adsorbent or deterrent of a trapping substance that occurs on the
surface and can be used to lower the concentration of metal ions in polluted solutions.
Coffee plantations include organic ingredients that are easy to find and can be made into
active charcoal for use as adsorbens or absorbent ingredients. This research aims to study
the influence of contact time and activators on the effectiveness of coffee amp powder
adsorption in absorbing Fe2+ ions. The manufacture of coffee amp adsorbens begins with
the preparation of raw materials, carbonization of enrichment, as well as activation with
HCl solution 0,1 N. the best results of adsorbent analysis are water content of 7 % with
activation of HCl 0.1 N. The results showed the effectiveness of adsorbene absorption
against fe2+ ions was highest in adsorbent acid ampas coffee activated HCl which is 88.92
% with a concentration of adsorbat 10 ppm and contact time of 60 minutes.
