Pembuatan Gas Oil 50 Ppm Dengan Menggunakan Metode Blending
ABSTRACT
Gas Oil 50 ppm is a new product issued by PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai which has a
maximum sulphur figure of 50 ppm. This product is a byproduct of regular Diesel fuel but is
superior in quality and low in sulphur figures obtained in this product. Gas Oil 50 ppm is
made with several types of products, namely Light Gas Oil (LGO), Diesel, and Heavy
Kerosene using the Blending method. This study aims to compare the results of the analysis
that has been carried out with the standards set by PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai. The process
of making Gas Oil 50 ppm is divided into four stages, namely the first stage of determining
the blending components to be used in the form of LGO, Diesel and Heavy Kerosene, the
second stage is a manual calculation simulation with Microsoft Excel, the third stage is
blending and the last stage is the analysis of sulphur, density, flash point and distillation.
Dari the analysis of Gas Oil 50 ppm , it was obtained 15ppm sulphur, 817 kg/m3 density,
78˚C flash point and 360˚C end point continue thr simulation results using Microsoft Excel.
From the data obtained in the results of this study meet the specifications for making Gas Oil
50 ppm based on the standards set by the compmina RU II Dumai.
