Evaluasi Metode Analisis Likuifaksi Berdasarkan Cone Penetration Test (Cpt) Studi Kasus Kota Padang
This study aims to calculate the potential liquefaction based on qualitative
methods based on geological data, topography and groundwater levels and
quantitative methods based on the Boulanger & Idriss, Olsen, and Shibata &
Teparaksa methods. Base on the analysis, generate value of CSR, CRR, and FS will
be obtained from each method. Based on the safety factor (FS), the value of LPI
and settlement will be calculated at 37 points in the city of Padang. The results of
the analysis are to see how much the liquefaction potential in the city of Padang
can later be used as consideration in the development of the city of Padang.
Liquefaction is a natural phenomenon that occurs as a result of saturated
or rather saturated soil loses its power caused by earthquakes or suddenly changes
in stress, so that dense soils become liquid. Padang is an area that is prone to
liquefaction because it is located close to the coast and geologically the land is
alluvial. As for several factors that can affect liquefaction analysis, among others,
the value of cone resistance (qc), side friction (fs), ground water level, effective soil
stress, soil type, earthquake strength, earthquake acceleration (amax), soil index
(Ic) , grain size, and amount of fine content (FC). The greater the value of qc and
friction ratio (Rf), the higher the ability of the ground to have liquefaction. One of
the major earthquakes that occurred in the desert was the 2009 earthquake with a
magnitude of 7.9 SR which caused a lot of damage to soil structures such as soil
settlement, sand boil, lateral spreading, and loss of bearing strength.
From the analysis, it can be concluded that the majority of Padang cities
are areas that have high to very high liquefaction potential. In addition, the type of
soil in the city of Padang based on the analysis of the soil index at a depth of 0-2
m, Padang City is mostly dominated by silty sand to silty loam and at a depth of
more than 2 m Padang City is mostly dominated by silty sand to coarse sand.
