Pengaruh Bentuk Partikel Dan Waktu Pembebanan Terhadap Kuat Geser Tanah Pasir
Time is a scale which is the duration of an event and the shape of the sand grains, is one of the factors that affect the technical properties of sand on shear strength, this needs to be considered so that the effect can be maximized for construction related to sand. The purpose of this study was to determine how to analyze the time required and the shape of the sand grains in analyzing the behavior of the shear angle (ϕ) due to the influence of grading and grain shape. The test was carried out by dividing the gradations, which consisted of 3 variations with a relative density of 70%, among which passed sieve No. 4 and withholding No. 200. Gradation 1 is dominated by 100% medium grain fraction, gradation 2 is dominated by coarse grain fraction by 60%, and gradation 3 is dominated by fine grain fraction by 60%. The form of sand grains consists of 2 forms, namely angular and round grain groups, which are distinguished based on the value of roundness (R), sphericity (S) and regularity (ρ), which are processed using imageJ. The results showed, analysis of the sand grains using imageJ, obtained the grains of the two sands, namely semi-angular and semi-spherical. The ratio of the shear angles between the variations of the gradations, namely the gradient which is dominated by the coarse grain fraction of 60%, and the gradation which has a long grain distribution, has a high shear angle (ϕ). The ratio of the shear angle between the sand grains, namely sand with a semi-angular shape has a higher shear angle (ϕ) than sand with a semi-spherical shape Key words: Time, sand, gradation, grain shape, imageJ, roundness (R), sphericity (S), regularity (ρ), angle of shear (ϕ).
