Pekanbaru City, which is the regional center of Riau, has three main functions, namely the center of government activities, the center of trade activities and the center of transportation activities. This research aims to analyze the level of intersection services based on the intersection traffic data, whether the degree of saturation has passed the DS = 0 threshold. , 75. If the DS value is> 0.75, it will study the application of several alternative treatments to increase the level of intersection services, to then select the best alternative for the short and medium term. The data collection method used in this research is the traffic counting method, while for the study of alternative intersection handling techniques using the MKJI 1997 method. The existing DS value = 0.90. So alternative treatments are needed, namely: reducing side obstacles, widening roads and constructing flyovers. The DS value after the alternative is 0.83 which means that the handling of the intersection functions to reduce the density.
