Modifikasi Nanopartikel Magnetik Dari Pasir Alam Melalui Doping Menggunakan Ion Mangan
The objectives of this research are synthesize magnetic nanoparticles,
analyze the effect of Mn dopant variations on hematite and discuss the magnetic
properties of hematite nanoparticles from natural sand in the village of Logas,
Kuansing Regency, Riau Province. This study used a 2-stage ball milling method
for 120 hours. The ball miling sample was then doped with Mn with a
concentration of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% Mn through continued ball milling for 17
hours. The phase and crystallinity properties of magnetic nanoparticles were
studied using X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD). The magnetic properties of the
samples were discussed using vibration sample magnetometer (VSM). The
morphological shape, average size and average size distribution were studied
using the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and particles size analyzer (PSA),
respectively.
XRD results showed that the phase of the magnetic nanoparticles that
were sponged was the hematite (α-Fe2O3) phase with the mean crystal size based
on flexion (1 0 4) for magnetic nanoparticles that were not doped and doped using
manganese were 39.2 nm 38.2. The morphological properties of magnetic
nanoparticles indicate that the presence of agglomeration is strengthened by the
results of the Particle Size Analyzer which states that the resulting sample is not
homogenous. The results of this study also indicate that the magnetic properties of
hematite are superparamagnetic. After dipping the coercivity (Hc) of the magnetic
nanoparticles, the value of magnetization saturation (Ms) and magnetization of
remanent (Mr) decreased as the concentration of the pendants increased with Mn.
