Sejarah Perkembangan Pariwisata Di Kabupaten Bintan Kepulauan Riau Tahun 1996 - 2019

Abstract : The development of tourism is one of the sectors of very rapid
development, especially in the country of Indonesia. One of the tourism sector that
is quite well known is tourism in the field of resorts and beaches. In Indonesia
there is already famous tourism in Bintan. The history of tourism development in
Bintan itself started with the cooperation of three countries with the SIJORI
agreement. The purpose of this paper is as follows: (1) To know the history of
tourism conditions in Bintan in 1996. (2) To find out the development of tourism
in Bintan from 1996 to 2019. (3) For know the cooperation of the Indonesian
government with Singapore in the development of tourism. (4) To determine the
impact of the development of tourism on the economy and social for the
community around the tourist attraction. In this study the authors use historical
methods, namely by using methods - methods: (1) Heuristics. (2) Verification. (3)
Interpretation. (4) Historiography. The history of tourism in Bintan begins with
the SIJORI cooperation agreement (Singapore - Johor - Riau) which this
agreement was made in 1990. This agreement is an economic agreement between
three countries which feel mutually beneficial, the agreement is called the Growth
Triangle which in the agreement between the three countries is mutually
advantageous from each country, Singapore has capital and technology, Malaysia
has a market and Indonesia has land and manpower.Development of tourism in
Bintan is very advanced and also famous in Bintan is very popular among foreign
and local tourists,so that due to the rapid development of tourism in Bintan, it
certainly affects aspects such as social and economic aspects of the people around
these tourist objects.
