Kinesik Dalam Pantomim Septian Dwi Cahyo

Abstract: This research is entitled Kinesik in Pantomime Septian Dwi Cahyo. This
research is motivated by the use of nonverbal language which is often used. One
of them is kinesic language. Kinesik is the study of body movements used in
communication. The kinesik is the body movements used by Septian Dwi Cahyo in
his pantomime. The purpose of this research is to describe the form and purpose
of the kinesics that appear in the pantomime of Septian Dwi Cahyo. The method
used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection
techniques in this study were documentation techniques, listening techniques, and
note taking techniques. The data analysis technique in this study consisted of five
stages, namely, identifying, classifying, discussing, explaining and concluding.
The results of the study were there were four types of kinesics from the five types
of kinesics contained in Novrion's theory. The four types of kinesics contained in
the Septian Dwi Cahyo pantomime, namely emblems, illustrators, affect displays,
and adaptations. The number of each type of kinesics found, namely emblems
totaling 4 data, illustrators totaling 40 data, affect dislpay totaling 20 data and
adaptory totaling 7 data.
