Abstract: Pantun learning accompanied by an understanding of pantun theory can
help students produce good rhymes according to the theory being studied, stimulate
students' creative ideas, increase intelligence and train students to continue to love the
nation's culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the category of the pretest
result of the pre-test results of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1
Kampar Kiri Tengah; Knowing whether the category comparison of the pre-test result
rhyme writing ability is based on the gender of the seventh grade students of SMP
Negeri 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah; know how to apply analogy techniques in learning the
ability to write rhymes for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kampar Kiri
Tengah; know what category the ability to write rhymes from the post-test results of
the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah; knowing whether the
category comparison of the ability to write pantun results from the posttest based on
the gender of the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah and
knowing the comparability of the categories of the ability to write rhymes from the
