Pengaruh Proses Pembelajaran Dan Lingkungan Sosial Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Dan Dampaknya Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Pelalawan Kabupaten Pelalawan Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020
This study aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects of the learning
process and the social environment on motivation and its impact on student
achievement at SMP Negeri 4 Pelalawan. The population of this study were all
students of class VII, VIII and IX of SMP Negeri 4 Pelalawan as many as 47
students. Taking the whole sample in the population is in accordance with the
opinion of Ari Kunto (1997).
Data collection using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data
analysis technique used is path analysis. The results of the analysis show that the
learning process and social environment have a significant direct and indirect
effect on student achievement through intervening variables (learning motivation).
In accordance with the results of observations, the learning process
according to students' perceptions that contributed the most to increasing student
motivation and achievement for learning was the teacher's attitude and ability to
understand and approach students and manage lessons in the classroom while for
the family social environment according to student perceptions was the atmosphere.
and the condition of existing facilities and infrastructure in students' homes. This
indicates that the good or bad quality of learning at school and the social conditions
of students' families will also reduce or increase student motivation which has an
impact on student achievement.
