Analisis Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kinerja Guru Dalam Pembelajaran Smp Negeri Di Kabupaten Bengkalis
The success of an organization is largely determined by the quality of the
human resources in it. One of the components of Human Resources in educational
organizations is the teacher. The teacher is one of the pillars that determines the
success of educational activities in schools. As a component that supports the
success of the learning process, a teacher's performance must always be
maintained and improved. Educational goals will be difficult to achieve if teacher
performance is low.
According to the results of observations in various at SMP Negeri in
Bengkalis Regency, namely SMP Negeri in Bukit Batu district and SMP Negeri in
Bandar Laksamana district, there are still many problems with teacher
performance in the learning, most teachers work only to fulfill their daily duties
and obligations. Less than optimal teacher performance can be seen in the
existence of some teachers who have not prepared for learning before teaching.
Another problem showing sub-optimal teaching performance in learning is shown
by the many teachers who have not used varied learning methods. The use of the
lecture method taught by the teacher as a method that is always used a lot makes
students bored with this method.
The next problem is seen in some teachers who still deliver material in a
less attractive way to impart learning. This can be seen from the teacher who
have not fully optimized the use of school facilities like LCD and Internet. In
addition to that, another problem can be seen in the teacher who has not been
able to promote the class situation to be calm when there are students who make
noise in class. Another problem can be seen when the teacher is not present and
does not give assignments to the picket teacher for student learning. So the
performance of teachers in the discipline of homework is not optimal. This
situation will cause the low performance of teachers in learning, so it will affect
the quality of education and also low human resources.
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance of
teachers in teaching and learning at SMP Negeri in Bengkalis Regency. Both the
population and the sample of this study amounted to 56 people. The population,
as well as the sample used, were all teachers with the status of Public Officials
who taught classes at SMP Negeri Bengkalis Regency, which consists of SMP
Negeri in Bukit Batu district and SMP Negeri in Bandar Laksamana district. Data
were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this research is
descriptive quantitative, and path analysis.
The results of the study showed that: 1) the work environment had a direct
effect on teachers' job satisfaction in 43.1%; 2) work motivation has a direct
effect on teachers' job satisfaction in 42.5%; 3) the work environment has a direct
effect on teacher performance by 35.3%; 4) work motivation has a direct effect on

performance by 26.0%; 6) the work environment indirectly influences teaching
xiv
performance through job satisfaction in 11.2%; 7) work motivation has an
