Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Dengan Menggunakan Model Discovery Learning Dalam Rangka Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Pada Materi Bangun Datar Kelas VII SMP
As the age progresses, education also progresses rapidly. Education in Indonesia aims to develop learners potential to experience intelegence, a noble motive, and possess the necessary skills as members of society and citizens. One way that can be done to achieve the educational goals is the reforms in the mathematics learning that have been included in the 2013 curriculum. Learning in the 2013 curriculum is activity-based learning that provides opportunities for learners to achieve goals. One of the forms of preparation teachers must make in the learning process in order to accomplich the curriculum’s purposes is to prepare the appropriate. Some research results suggest that teachers are not yet optimal at developing learning devices. In order to identify the devices in school, researchers conducted observation and interviews. Interview was conducted with four junior math teachers in Pekanbaru. Based on the interview, it is known that the activities the teacher developed have not been able to aford learners to construct their own knowledge in the building of concept. The results of observations is also now that LKPD which learners are using is more likely to present concepts. So, learners are not accustomed to using mind-numbing skills to discover concepts and solve problems scientifically. In addition, teachers do not make it possible for learners to develop mathematical communications abilities. The ability of mathematical communication can be accomplished for learners by applying appropriate learning models and then preparing appropriate learning tools. As the research aims, it is to create mathematical communication capability on flat building materials on grade. The learning device is made up of syllabus, RPP and LKPD. This research uses ADDIE development models. But the steps that must be taken to produce the product include the analysis phase, design, development and implementation. The analysis phase, analyzing the need for new product development and analyzing the terms of new product development. The analytical phase consist of two stages which is performance analysis and need analysis. The design phase is designed a learning device called syllabus, RPP and LKPD and the instruments used in research. The development phase that make the specifications of the learning products that have been made at the design stage. The learning tools produced in this research are the syllabus, RPP and LKPD which the validator judged later. The implementation phase that experimented on a small group of twelve people from grade students SMP Dharma Yudha, which randomly selected with a heterogeneous ability. The small-scale trial aims to see the practicality of the LKPD with the discovery learning model on the developed flat shape material. Students are asked to work on the student worksheet that has been developed and fill out a student

response questionnaire. The research instrument used in this article was the validation sheet for the syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet assessed by experts, and student response questionnaires. The analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis which describes the validity and practicality of the flat shape mathematics learning device using discovery learning model with a scientific approach. This development research resulted in a mathematics learning tool in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets on flat shape material that applied discovery learning models. Researchers develop mathematics learning tools using the ADDIE model. Based on the results of research and discussion in Chapter IV, the following conclusions are obtained: 1) development products in the form of mathematics learning tools with discovery learning models on flat-shape materials in LKPD with an average of 91.21% which meets the criteria of Very Valid, RPP with an average an average of 88.21% which fulfills the very valid criteria, and the syllabus with an average of 91.67% which meets the very valid criteria; and 2) the development product in the form of a mathematics learning device with the DL model on the flat shape material has met the practicality criteria with an average of 88.68% with the very practical category. Key words: Learning Tools, Discovery Learning Model, Mathematical Communication Ability.
