Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa Pada Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar Kelas VIII SMP/MTS
This research is based on several reasons the importance of role of mathematics in education, especially in problem solving in daily life. Further, researchers found the facts, that the 2013 curriculum has not been running well, learning tools that are made do not support the development of critical thinking and reasoning of students by the low ability of students to solve mathematical problems, teachers still have difficulty making the tools themselves, lack of understanding of the teacher in implementing the learning model according to the 2013 curriculum, LAS only contains a collection of routine questions in accordance with the material being studied. And the students' mathematical problem solving ability is still low. Seeing these problems, researchers conducted research to produce mathematics learning tools through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to facilitate students in developing students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the material of flat-sided building in class VIII SMP already fulfilling valid and practical criteria.
This study uses a development research model that uses the ADDIE development model research steps. However, the steps that must be followed to produce a product include: analysis, design, development, and implementation. The analysis stage, namely analyzing the need for new product development and analyzing the feasibility and requirements for developing new products. The analysis stage consists of two stages, namely performance analysis and needs analysis. The design stage, namely designing learning tools in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS; and instruments used in research. The development stage, which is producing or creating or realizing the learning product specifications that have been determined at the design stage. The learning tools produced in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS. The learning tools that have been developed are then evaluated by the validator. The implementation stage, namely conducting small group trials in this study consisting of 12 people from class VIII MTsN 8 Kampar who were randomly selected with heterogeneous abilities, namely students with low abilities, medium, and high. The small-scale trial aims to see the readability of LAS with the PBL model on the material of the flat-sided shape that has been developed. Students are asked to work on LAS that has been developed and fill out a student response questionnaire. The research instrument used in this article was the validation sheet for the syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS assessed by experts, and student response questionnaires. The analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis which describes the validity and legibility of the flat shape mathematics learning device with the PBL model with a scientific approach.
This development research resulted in a mathematics learning tool in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans, and LAS on the material of building a flat side space that applies the PBL model. Researchers develop mathematics learning tools using the ADDIE model. Based on the results of research and discussion, the
xv
following conclusions are obtained: 1) development products in the form of mathematics learning tools with the PBL model on the flat-sided shape of the LAS material with an average of 91.85% which meets the criteria very valid, RPP with average -a mean of 75.92% which fulfills the Valid criteria, and the syllabus with an average of 89.82% which meets the Very Valid criteria; and 2) the development product in the form of a mathematics learning device with the PBL model on the flat-sided shape material has met the practicality criteria with an average of 87.73% with the very practical category.
