Transformasi Kehidupan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Nelayan Menjadi Masyarakat Petani Nanas Di Desa Penyengat Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study was aimed to describe the process of changing the livelihoods
of the Penyengat Village people who were originally fishermen became pineapple
farming communities. To find the push factor of changing the livelihoods.
Knowing the impact of livelihood changes experinced by the penyengat village
community on the transformation of the socio-economic life. The method used is
descripetive qualitative method, data collection by in-depth interviews the
determination of informants using purposive sampling techniques.
The results of this study indicate the process of transformation of the
livelihoods of the Penyengat Village community begins with the emergence of
local community dissatisfaction with the field of fisheries, there is a driving force
(motivation) to change so that they adopt changes from neighboring villages and
these changes include planned changes. Factors that encourage the Penyengat
Village community to transform from fishermen Pineapple farmers are: the entry
of newcomers who make the villagers heterogeneous, heterogeneous residents
lead to new discoveries. In addition there is a sense of dissatisfaction when the
livelihood as fishermen and hope to get more profit (profit oriented), besides the
decision to plant pineapple also because social life at this time also requires
someone to be able to survive amid the development of increasingly global times.
The impact of this transformation can be seen from changes in lifestyle or
consumption patterns (food, fashion, and fun) of rural communities which can be
seen in terms of the types of consumption that are increasing such as buying
entertainment equipment, or electronic devices always keep abreast of
developments. In addition, in terms of appearance in which gold is used as an
investment gold is also used as supporting items for accessories and appearance.
