Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Modified Free Inquiry (Mfi) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Pada Materi Pokok Bahasan Kesetimbangan Kimia Kelas Xi Mipa Sma N 2 Pekanbaru
Abstract : The objective of this study aims was to improve students’ learning
outcomes on the subject of chemical equilibrium by applying the Modified Free
Inquiry (MFI) learning model in class XI MIPA SMA N 2 Pekanbaru. This type of
research is a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent pretestposttest
control grup design. The population in the study were all students of class
XI MIPA SMA N 2 Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 years consisting of 5 class and
was determained to be a sample by using cluster random sampling technique. The
sample selected as the experimental class was XI MIPA 4 and the control class
was XI MIPA 5. The data collection technique in this study is a test technique. The
collected data were obtained from the pretest and posttest scores of the
experimental class and the control class. The collected data were analyzed using
t-test. The result of data analysis shows that t count = 1,84 ˃ t table = 1,67 at the
5% significance level. Therefore it can be concluded that the application of the
modified free inquiry learning model can improve student learning outcomes on
the subject matter of chemical equilibrium class XI MIPA SMA N 2 Pekanbaru.
