Tuturan Imperatif Pada Spanduk Di Kota Pekanbaru

This study aims to identify imperative speech forms on banners in Pekanbaru City and analyze the meaning and function of imperative speech on banners in Pekanbaru City. This research covers the form, meaning and function of imperative utterances on banners in Pekanbaru City. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are documentation techniques in the form of capturing images taken directly so that real results are obtained. The data analysis techniques in this study were (1) identifying, (2) classifying, (3) analyzing, and (4) concluding. The imperative speech forms on banners in Pekanbaru City are: ordinary imperative 43 data, 23 data requests, 3 data requests, and 7 data restrictions. The meaning of imperative speech on banners in Pekanbaru City are: orders for 14 data, requests for 13 data, persuasion of 10 data, command for 2 data, invitations for 36 data, and prohibition of 1 data. The functions of imperative speech on banners in Pekanbaru City are: call for 59 data, request for 14 data, command for 2 data, and prohibit 1 data.
