Penerapan Pendekatan Konstruktivisme Dalam Pembelajaran Membaca Teks Deskripsi Siswa Kelas VII MTS Darus Shofa
This research is an experimental study to test the constructivism approach in learning to read descriptive texts. The purpose of this study was to see the pre-test and post-test categories, as well as whether or not there were differences before and after the implementation of the constructivism approach. The sample of this research is the seventh-grade students of MTs Darus Shofa. The data collection technique in this study was a test technique with multiple-choice test research instruments. The research data will be tested for normality and homogeneity test for the requirements. The data in the study were categorized as normal and homogeneous so that at the stage of data analysis using the one-sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and paired sample t-test. For pre-test, the value of t count = 3.062, t table = 2.262, and Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.014. If 3.062 > 2.262 and 0.014 < 0.05 are substituted, Ho is rejected. This means that the average pre-test is in a low category. After carrying out the pre-test, learning was carried out in class. Learning activities that are carried out such as writing down information, choosing the correct choices, reading, and doing exercises on the teaching materials. For the posttest, the value of t count = 8,087, t table = 2,262, and Sig. (2-tailed) is 0,000, then 8,087 > 2,262 and 0,000 < 0,05, Ho is rejected. That is, the posttest is in a low category. Paired sample t-test obtained the value of t count = 1.161, t table = 2.262, and Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.275. If substituted as 1.161 < 2.262 and 0.0275 > 0.05, Ho is accepted. That is, there is no significant difference between pre-test and post-test. It can also be seen from the pre-test average, which is 13.3, which has a slight increase in post-test, which is 15.2.
