Abstract: Currently there is a sudden change in the learning process in
Indonesia. This change is the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Rapid changes
in human life due to the corona virus, are unlikely to affect children’s education
and school services. The teaching and learning process that takes place formally
in the institution has completely transformed itself into distance learning at home.
This “short term” crisis is currently being passed through tens of millions of
students, teachers and parents with great difficulty. Some transition and adapt
with a sense of empowerment, trying to learn and teach indefinitely between
outbreaks. Others, without affordable access, without available quality and end
up falling victim to the long-term epidemic of the coronavirus, a learning crisis
that will report education for years to come. Many students complain, are left
behind in their learning material, and cannot work on the questions that have
been given by the teacher. Because students have difficulty working on the
questions that have been given by the teacher with social media. Technological
progress is now very fast, therefore to overcome distance learning can use online
social media, because it is one way that can be used in current conditions. In
online learning, students can take advantage of various social media and
applications in electronic devices such as cellphones, laptops, computers and
others. Teachers must also always be active in providing material or providing
information related to online learning at this time. Apart from that in online
learning there are some and safety.
