Isolasi Metabolit Sekunder Dari Daun Ribu-Ribu (Anisophyllea Disticha) Sebagai Antidiabetes
Diabetes and its complications are non-communicable diseases which strongly associated on increasing mortality and morbidity rate in Indonesia. As a medicinal plant used by ethnomedicin in Talang Mamak tribe, Rakit Kulim District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province, Anisophyllea disticha has its own special interest to become object study because its potential activity as a drug has not been scientifically reported. This study aims to determine the antidiabetic activity of metabolite compounds from medicinal plant Anisophyllea disticha by α-glucosidase inhibition method. The isolation of metabolites was based on solvent polarity fractionation method on vacuum liquid chromatography using ethyl acetate extract. IR characterization analysis of isolated metabolites showed C = O, C-H alkane, and C-O functional groups, while results of H-NMR characterization of all isolated compounds which are compared to lupane triterpene compound (Li et al., 2018) show similarities. Based on IR and H-NMR characterization, phytochemical tests and the results of previous study, the isolated compound is assumed to be two triterpene derivatives of the lupane group coded AD-E-03 and AD-E-04. The antidiabetic assay of AD-E-03 and AD-E-04 showed IC50 values of both compounds were 46.246 ± 0.167 and 80.273 ± 0.081. The compouns are compared by IC50 positive control Acarbose. IC50 acarbose is 19.737 ± 0.046. Therefore, it can be concluded that the two compounds have potential to be antidiabetic.
