Induksi Nodul Dari Eksplan Biji Manggis (Garcinia Mangostana L.) Asal Bengkalis Dengan Penambahan Benzyl Amino Purin (Bap) Dan Giberellin (Ga3) Secara In Vitro
Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) from Bengkalis is a commodity fruit native to Indonesia which has the advantage to grow in swampy areas. Limitations of the seed and the slow rate of growth is a challenge in the mangosteen plant propagation. Propagation of shoots in the mangosteen can be produced quickly with nodule induction in vitro. This study aims to investigate the influence and determine the concentration of BAP and GA3 single effective in inducing nodule of mangosteen seed explants were split 3 (three) longitudinal in vitro. This research was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Riau from September-November 2019 using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 7 (seven) treatment that is control, GA3 (2,5; 5 ; 7,5; 10 mg/l) and BAP (7,5; 15 mg/l). Results showed a single of BAP and GA3 significantly affect the percentage of nodules and the number of nodules. The treatment of 10 mg/l GA3 nodules produce the highest percentage of 100% and resulted in the highest number of nodules that 25,50 nodules.
