Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is one of the protection measures aimed at all potentials that can cause danger, so that workers and other people in the workplace are always safe and healthy and all production sources can be used safely and efficiently. Each year, the target for work accidents is 50% less than the previous year. One of the impacts of accidents on the company is production delays. Though the punctuality of time can save a lot of money. Therefore, the implementation of OSH is very important in addition to preventing accidents, the application of OSH can increase the reliability of the company, so that it can generate trust in customers and consumers.
One of the factors that can affect OSH is the work environment. The work environment is everything that is around the employee that can influence him / her in carrying out the tasks that have been assigned to him. The work environment is one of the factors that should be given more attention because it greatly affects the state of employee productivity. The work environment is divided into a physical work environment and a non-physical work environment.
This study aims to determine the relationship between physical work environment (lighting, temperature, noise and humidity) and non-physical work environment (knowledge of workers, behavior based safety, availability of tools and company regulations) on occupational safety and health (OSH) measures at PT. Mitra Bumi and knowing the most dominant factor. This research was conducted at PT. Mitra Bumi in January-March 2020. The tools used are thermohygrometer to measure humidity and room temperature, luxmeter to measure lighting, Sound Level Meter to measure noise, and writing instruments. The materials used are measurement sheets and questionnaires. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study approach. The data taken are primary and secondary data. The population in this study were all oil palm mill workers of PT. Mitra Bumi, amounting to 57 people. Because the population is less than 100, the entire population is sampled. The data analysis used was the ANOVA test.
The results of this study are that there is a relationship between the physical work environment (lighting, temperature, noise and humidity) on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) measures at PT. Earth Partners. There is a relationship because F count is greater than F table (4.57> 3.23). Based on the results of the post-ANOVA test (Schefee's test and Tukey's test), it is known that the physical work environment variables that have a significant effect are lighting and noise variables. There is no non-physical work environment relationship (worker knowledge, behavior based safety, availability of tools and company regulations) to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) actions at PT. Mitra Bumi because based on the results of anova F count smaller than F table (1.38
