This study aims to describe the effect of information literacy and work ethic on the service quality of teaching personnel in private junior high schools in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study and a survey method with correlational resarch techniques. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire with 40 respondents from 66 education personnel who were randomly selected as samples using the Slovin formula. The research method was carried out in which the respondents responded to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale consisting of five answer choices, namely always, often, sometimes, rarely, and never. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential statistics.
Based on the results of the study, there is a positive influence of the information literacy variable (X1) and work ethic (X2) on service quality (Y) for education personnel at private junior high schools in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, which is 49.30%. Then there is a very strong relationship between information literacy (X1) together with Work Ethics (X2) and Service Quality (Y). The higher the information literacy and work ethic, the higher the quality of service for education personnel. This research is expected to be useful for improving the service quality of education personnel in carrying out their duties and obligations.
