Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Metabolit Sekunder Aktinomisetes Yang Diekstraksi Menggunakan Pelarut Metanol Hangat (40oc).
Disease due to infection is one of the growing problems in the health sector. Infection caused by pathogenic bacteria can cause various diseases such as diarrhea and skin. Diarrhea can be caused by the bacteria Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium and Shigella flexineri, while skin diseases can be caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. Actinomycetes are one of the antibiotic producers. The actinomycetes used were actinomycetes isolated from the soil of the Riau University Arboretum with isolate codes A2.01, B1.06, B3.12, C2.18 and C2.20. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial ability of the secondary metabolites of actinomycetes extracted using warm methanol solvent (40oC) against pathogenic bacteria that cause diarrhea and skin diseases. The antibacterial activity test was carried out by using the disc diffusion method. The results of the antibacterial activity test showed that the actinomycetes isolates were able to inhibit the bacteria that cause diarrhea and skin diseases. The range of inhibition zones formed against E. coli bacteria was 15.7 - 9.6 mm with the largest inhibition zone by isolate B3.13, S.typhimurium of 12.8-8.1 mm with the largest zone of inhibition by isolate B3. 13, S.flexineri at 10.6-10.1 with the largest zone of inhibition by isolates C2.18, P.aeruginosa at 19.3-8.5 mm with the largest zone of inhibition by isolates B3.13 and S.aureus at 12.1-10.6 with the largest zone of inhibition by isolate B3.13.
