Pertumbuhan Bibit Stek Batang Tanaman Kelor (Moringa Oleifera Lam.) Pada Berbagai Tingkat Naungan
Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam.) Is a tropical plant that grows in Indonesia. Moringa can be used as environmental greening, cosmetics, medicine and food. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the cultivation of moringa to provide seeds. One of the efforts to propagate seedlings is carried out using stem cuttings at various levels of shade. This study aims to determine the effect of shade and determine the best level of shade on the growth of moringa stem cuttings. The study used a randomized block design with four treatments and five repetitions. The treatments used were 0% (control), 25%, 50% and 75% shade. The variables observed were environmental conditions (light intensity and temperature), growth (percentage of life (%), percentage of sprouting cuttings (%), time of shoot emergence (days), number of shoots, shoot height (cm), stem diameter (mm), number of leaves, root length (cm), and wet weight (grams)). Based on the results of the study, it showed that shade treatment had a significant effect on shoot emergence time, but had no significant effect on other parameters. 25 and 75% shade treatment accelerated shoot emergence time. Providing real shade did not affect the growth of moringa cuttings.
Keywords: Moringa, shade, growth, cuttings.
