Isolasi Dan Uji Antioksidan Senyawa Metabolit Sekunder Dari Ekstrak N-Heksana Tumbuhan Kelakai (Stenochlaena Palustris)
Kelakai (S. palustris) is an epiphytic plant that is widely used as a medicinal plant. This study aims to isolate the antioxidant active compounds contained in this species. Isolation of compounds was carried out by maceration method by using methanol and then partitioned with n-hexane to obtain n-hexane extract. The n-hexane extract was separated by using Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC), followed by flash chromatography and continued with purification using Size-exclusion chromatography (Sephadex LH-20). Pure compounds were characterized by using 1H-NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The antioxidant activity analysiswas carried out by using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. The isolated compound was coded Sp-H-01 with a melting point 192-193ᵒC. The spectroscopy data revealed that the compound was characterized as rutin and its antioxidant showed IC50 66.13 μg / mL (AAI= 1.21). It can be concluded that this species have antioxidant activity.
