Isolasi Metabolit Sekunder Dan Uji Toksisitas Dari Ekstrak Diklorometana Tanaman Miana Merah (Coleus Hybridus)
Coleus hybridus, also known as miana merah, is a traditional medicinal plant of the genus Coleus from the family Lamiaceae or Labiatae. This plant possess various bioactivities such as antioxidants, antibacterial, antivirus and anti-inflamation. The purpose of this research was to isolate and toxicity assay secondary metabolites from dichloromethane (DCM) extract of the aerial parts of this plant. Isolation of its secondary metabolites was started by extraction with several solvents with different polarity, those steps was done by previous researcher. In this study extract fractionated accordingly by chromatography and purification was done by Chromatotron in fraction 3 resulting from VLC. The pure compound was coded as CH-D-01. The UV-Vis spectrum of this compound showed maxima at wavelengths of 218, 243, 329 and 365 nm (C=C). The FT-IR spectra this compound showed vibrations at wavenumber of (cm-1) 3479 (OH); 3089 (=C-H alifatik); 2905, 2836, 2767 (C-H siklik); 1680 (C=O); 1605 (C=C); 1280, 1245, 1190 (C-O); dan 815 dan 762 (C-H siklik). The toxicity assay showed that the DCM extract of miana merah were highly toxic with LC50 about 6,34 ppm and the CH-D-01 compound were toxic with LC50 about 102,33 ppm.
