Ekosistem Dan Perubahan Lingkungan Perkebunan Karet Lahan Pascatambang Bauksit Di Pulau Singkep Sebagai Rancangan Modul Biologi SMA Berbasis Outdoor Learning
The post-mining bauxite rubber plantation ecosystem is a post-mining bauxite
area of PT Telaga Bintan Jaya which is located on Singkep Island, Singkep Barat
District, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province. The open pit area is 60 Ha. The
area of land that was reclaimed was only 15 hectares. Rubber revegetation was
carried out on this land in 2012, 2014 and 2015 and divided into 3 stations based
on the revegetation year. Each station has an area of 3-4 hectares, but not all of the
station area is overgrown by rubber plants. The area of the station where rubber
trees grow on average is 2000 m2 with a spacing of 5 m. Post-mining bauxite
rubber plantation ecosystems can be used to design outdoor learning-based high
school biology modules. With an outdoor learning-based module, the content of
the module can make it easier for students to learn factually, that is, it can link
subject matter with real life so that it can improve student learning outcomes.
This study aims to: 1) Determine the ecosystem and environmental changes in
post-mining bauxite land rubber plantations on Singkep Island, 2) Produce
modules of ecosystem and environmental changes in bauxite post-mining land
rubber plantations on Singkep Island which can be utilized by high school biology
teachers in broadening the understanding of Biology learning about ecosystem
and environmental change. To achieve this goal, a survey research was carried out
on post-mining bauxite rubber plantations on Singkep Island in December 2019.
Data was collected through direct observation and measurement in the postmining
bauxite rubber plantation ecosystem area.
The results showed that this ecosystem has a constituent component, namely a
biotic component and an abiotic component. The biotic components of the hilly
ecosystem are composed of producers, namely rubber plants and understory
plants, consumers, namely ants, grasshoppers, bees, butterflies, snakes,
hummingbirds, monkeys, wild boar and eagles, decomposers namely fungi, and
detritivores namely snails. The lake ecosystem has a biotic component composed
of producers, namely phytoplankton, consumers namely sepat fish, cepraz fish,
and snakehead fish. The results of the analysis of the physical properties of the
soil were in the form of soil texture which was dominated by dust fraction
content. Soil chemical analysis showed acid pH (H2O). The pH (KCl) level is
very acidic. Medium C-Organic content. Low N-Total content. The content of
P2O5 (HCl 25%) is moderate. Low K2O (HCl 25%) content. Very low Ca
content. Low K content. Very low Mg content. Low Na content. The
Rhinotermitidae family is the most common soil macrofauna after revegetation in
2012, the Rhinotermitidae family after revegetation in 2014, and the Formicidae
family after revegetation in 2015. The research data is developed into a high
school Biology module design on ecosystem and environmental change materials.
The validation results show that the aspect of the module format is categorized as
very valid, the graphics are very valid, the illustrations are very valid, the
language is valid, and the feasibility of the content is very valid.
It can be concluded that the overall ecosystem of post-mining bauxite rubber
plantations was found in 30 flora families, namely Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae,
Menispermaceae, Dilleniaceae, Convolvulaceae, Orchidaceae, Acanthaceae,
Poaceae, Thymelaeaceae, Arecaceae, Verbenaceae, Apocynoideae, Nepenthaceae,
Melastomataceae, Asteraceae, Euphorbiaceae, Passifloraceae, Blechnaceae,
Polypodiaceae, Malvaceae, Caesalpiniaceae, Fabaceae, Theaceae, Apocynaceae,
Combretaceae, Ulmaceae, Myrtaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Cyperaceae and 14 fauna
families namely Euphorbiaceae, Formicidae, Phyllidae, Apidae, Hesperiidae,
Typhlopidae, Trochilidae, Cercopidae Achatinidae, Osphronemidae,
Leiognathidae, Channidae. The most significant environmental changes are the
low level of soil macrofauna diversity, the soil texture is dominated by the dust
fraction, the acidic soil pH, and low nutrient content. The module that is designed
has obtained good quality and is suitable for use so that it can be used by high
school biology teachers in broadening the understanding of biology learning.
