Sintesis Dan Karakterisasi Kombinasi Nanopartikel Perak-Bubuk Biji Alpukat (Persea Americana) Yang Teraktivasi Menggunakan Microwave Dengan Metode One-Pot
Avocado seeds are one of the residual waste products that are starting to attract attention as low-cost adsorbents for heavy metal and dye reduction. one of the uses was to make avocado seeds as an adsorbent and combined with silver nanoparticles through one-pot synthesis to get a combination that will be used to absorb methylene blue dyes. In this study, avocado seeds were made in powder and then activated using a microwave with optimum conditions at 600 W power for 6 minutes, then it contacted with silver nitrate (AgNO3) 0.25 mM, sodium citrate dihydrate (C6H5O7Na3) 0.25 mM, and sodium borohydride (NaBH4) 10 mM in one container then synthesized by reduction method. The combination of silver nanoparticles-powdered avocado seed was characterized by UV-Vis spectrophotometry to confirm the presence of silver nanoparticles and Methylene blue absorption test to determine the amount of methylene blue had absorbed every one gram. It was found that silver nanoparticles was there at maximum wavelength of 430 nm, and the results of characterization of the methylene blue adsorption test for combination of silver nanoparticles-powdered avocado seed was 21.29 mg/g. Characterization of functional groups in avocado seed adsorbents and the combination of silver nanoparticles-powdered avocado seed were analyzed using FTIR spectroscopy. The presence of functional groups like Ag-O in the combination of silver nanoparticles-powdered avocado seed indicates that silver nanoparticles was sticking on the surface of the combination and causes a slight shift within the peak of spectrum in combination of silver nanoparticles- powdered avocado seed compared to the peak of spectrum in the avocado seed adsorbent.
