Based on the results of research in the field, it can be seen that the knowledge of sex in children aged 5-6 years, there are still many who do not know how to dress modestly and which body parts can be touched and which cannot be touched by others. Children can find knowledge of sex by conducting interpersonal communication between parents and children. This study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal communication between parents and children on knowledge of sex in children aged 5-6 years. This research was conducted at Raudhatul Athfal Kindergarten, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. This type of research is correlation. The population of this research is parents who have children aged 5-6 years in Raudhatul Athfal Kindergarten, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. The sample used was 32 people. Data collection techniques in this study through questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique uses Simple Linear Regression. The results showed that there was an effect of interpersonal communication between parents and children on knowledge of sex in children aged 5-6 years in Raudhatul Athfal Kindergarten, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency, which led to a positive relationship. The percentage of influence of interpersonal communication between parents and children on knowledge of sex in children aged 5-6 years is 48.8%, while the rest is influenced by other factors.
