Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas VII2 SMP Negeri 42 Pekanbaru
This class action research aims to improve learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes by implying Problem Based Learning model. Subjects of this research were the students of grade VII2 SMP Negeri 42 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2019/2020 total number of participant are 38, consisting of 18 boys and 20 girls with heterogeneous academic achievement. This research has two cycles, each have four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycles ended by daily examination. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and student’s mathematic tests. The students mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative. The data obtained from the student mathematics learning outcomes quizzes shows that the competence of knowledge and skills there was an increase, namely the number of students who were at the highest and high score intervals increased, while the number of students who were at the lowest, low and quiet decreasing score intervals.Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of problem based learning model can be improve the learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VII2SMP Negeri 42 Pekanbaru in the even semester of the academic year 2019/2020.
