Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas VII.8 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru
This research is a class action research which aimed to improve learning
process and increase student’s the mathematics learning outcomes at class VII.8 SMP
Negeri 25 Pekanbaru by implying Problem Based Learnin model (PBL). The subjects of
this research were VII.8 grade student’s of SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru in the academic
year 2019/2020 wihich total number of participants were 39 students, consisting of 17
male students and 22 female students with heterogeneous academic achievement. This
research took two cycles,in which each cycle consisted of four stages: planning,
implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used in this research
were; (1) learning instruments (syllabus, lesson plan, and student worh sheet); and (2)
the instrument of collecting data (activity observation sheets and learning outcomes
test). The data were analyzed by narative descriptive and statistical descriptive. The
result of data analysis teacher and students activity showed that the learning process
has improved after the problem based learning model being implemented. The result of
data analysis learning outcomes test, shows that the percentage of students who
reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) aspek of knowlange has increase from
the basic score 28,20% to 53,85% in first test dan 58,97% in second test. The
percentage of students who reached the MMC aspek of skill achievement has increased
from the first test to the second test is 51,28 to 53,84. Based on data analysis, it can be
concluded that implementation of Problem Based Learning model could improve the
learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes from students of
grade VII.8 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru on odd semester of 2019/2020.
