Gambaran Karakteristik Sosial Ekonomi Keluarga Balita Stunting
The nutritional state of children under five years based on TB / U index gives an
indication of nutritional problems that result in children being short (stunting).
There are many things that cause children to become stunting, one of which is due
to family socio-economic factors which include family income, education,
employment, the number of dependents on the family and the tribe. This study
aims to determine the socio-economic characteristics of stunting toddlers. This
research is a simple descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The study was
conducted in the working area of North Kampar Health Center with a sample of
202 stunting toddlers with accidental sampling technique. The instruments used
were questionnaires and observation sheets for measuring toddler height. The
results showed that toddlers were in the short category (89.1%) and very short
(10.9%) with the percentage of men (50.5%) and women (49.5%) and based on
socio-economic characteristics of family income out of 3 (92.1%) and majority of tribes
being Malay tribe (98%). The results of this study can be used as a reference in
